Welcome to the Cliff Fielding Research, Innovation and Engineering Building!

The new 60,000-square-foot facility, located in Founders’ Square, is open for business to the Laurentian community.

It features four capstone innovation labs, a material analysis lab, environmental and soil mechanics lab, prototype development and machine shop, integrated software lab, a hydraulics and fluid mechanics lab, a lecture theatre as well as much-needed space for the award-winning Bharti School of Engineering.

The Jim Fielding Innovation and Commercialization Space will encourage our community to foster their innovative ideas, develop new products and deliver them to the marketplace.

The Norinne E. Perdue Central Analytical Facility allows faculty and graduate students to train on specialized instruments and expand their horizons with new research collaborations.

The new building also features a Research Centres Collaboration Hub – bringing together innovative minds across the Laurentian community.
