Arrival at Sudbury Airport

It is recommended that those arriving at the airport arrange for a rental car, limousine, taxi  or Sudbury transit services prior to arrival. The trip from the airport to the university takes an average of 45 minutes.

Public Transit

Greater Sudbury Transit offers TransCab service to the airport.

Those wishing to use the TransCab service to the airport must tell the bus driver upon embarking on the 303 route that you require a TransCab transfer to the airport. The driver will make arrangements to have a TransCab vehicle at the North Star Confectionary on Skead Road.

Please note, times available for the TransCab service vary. Please visit this link for a full list of specific times for Route 303.

If, however, you are flying in to Greater Sudbury, we ask that you call to book a TransCab pickup at the airport at least 90 minutes in advance. You may pre-book your TransCab pickup well in advance, however 90 minutes is the minimum required advanced notice. Bookings may be done by calling 705-522-1380.


From Toronto and Southern Ontario
Use Highway 400/69.  Approximate driving time from Toronto Airport is 4 hours

Ottawa and Eastern Ontario
Use Highway 17W.   Approximate driving time from Ottawa is 6 hours

Routes 500, 501, 502 serve the University from downtown transit terminal
